As much as I enjoyed his performance in District 9, I'm not sure how I feel about this just yet, even though he'll probably do good. But its also good to know they finally cast someone in the role.

Ugh, this remake is a mistake. Half of Hollywood knows it's a stinker in the making. I really wish Sharlto hadn't signed on.

I'm a little wary of this since I can't imagine them improving on the original. But I love him to death so this is exciting news. Although I'm not a huge Brolin fan. Nothing against him, he's a great actor and seems like a great guy (with awesome, dead-on impressions), but I'd probably prefer if they switched roles.

YES YES YES!!! I love Sharlto Copley, behind the scenes footage with him is just as good as the movies he's in.

Just saw Oldboy. cool ass movie, but had some gaping flaws like many eastern flics. One of the best fight scenes though when he takes down the group of guys towards the end. Looking forward to the western version.

Ummm...yeah.

I don't have a good feeling about this remake. Elizabeth Olsen? Josh Brolin? No thanks. I'll just watch the original again. If 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance' gets remade I will die.

These editorials really need to stop calling this a remake, this movie is not a remake!

The Korean version of OldBoy was originally adapted from a series of Japanese graphic novels and told its version of that story. The movie changed not only the entire story from the graphic novel but all the names of the characters too. It's a great film but only inspired by the source material, not really anything near an accurate adaptation.

Spike Lees film is gonna tell its own adapted version from the same story and hopefully be more accurate to the original source material.

I don't think a hollywood remake will do the source justice. And they should have gotten someone younger than Wikus, here. But I'm sure he'll do a great job.

@project8501, the remakes are because Hollywood have run out of original ideas.
