The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Michael Uslan and digital media company Blip are teaming up for The Great S. Cape!; a 12 part live action series which, "follows the superhero Stephen Cape, a magician and illusionist who applies his skills -- and refusal to use a gun -- to his newfound mission as a private detective. When he stumbles across the most insidious murder plot in Hollywood, powerful forces set out to stop him at all costs." Production is due to start at the beginning of April, while South African actor Ian Duncan has been cast in the role of Stephen. Uslan, who served as executive producer on Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy, will write and executive produce. "The Great S. Cape! marks the triumphant return of the chapter-by-chapter Saturday matinee movie serial of old that was dominated by superheroes like Batman, Superman and Captain America," Uslan told the site. "Original web series are at the cutting edge of the entertainment industry, and working with Blip I can reach audiences in new ways with more immersive characters and stories." This... doesnt sound good. A web series called "The Great S. Cape" doesn't exactly scream "quality"

Didn't he produce all the Batman films, not just the Nolan trilogy?

TDKR is at least in the top 10 CBMs of all time if not top 5.

After Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Avengers, Iron Man, I don't see what else compares.

I met him, he was promoting his autobiography at The Great Escape in Nashville. He's one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He was a producer for a lot of great and bad movies, but he wasn't intimately involved in Catwoman or the Joel Schumacher films. Plus, the onus is on the director in the end, and Joel just didn't respect the material, plain and simple. This guy is awesome.

He was involved with The Spirit. Bad enough.

@Youngman

Awesome

TDK trilogy as a whole is number 1 for me, too hard for me to pick. I listed the others because Iron Man and Avengers are awesome CBMs. Probs. my number 2.

X1,X2,and First Class get the third part, and Watchmen is probably my 4th. Raimi's Spider-Man as my 5th.

Like ordering them in franchises.

Uslan & Benjamin Melniker are credited on every Batman movie as "Executive Producers" because of a deal they signed over 30 years ago. They were barely involved creatively early in the development of the first Warner Batman film. The deal includes animation.

He's not directly "involved" in any of the films. He has a written a handful of comics over the years.
