THE BATMAN International Teaser Contains Plenty Of Intriguing New Footage

Another promo for The Batman has been shared online, and this latest look at Matt Reeves' upcoming reboot contains plenty of intriguing new footage while revealing more about The Riddler's nefarious plan.

We're going to start seeing a lot more from The Batman as Warner Bros. begins its final marketing push, which means those who'd rather know as little about the film as possible before sitting down to watch it on March 4 might want to be wary of potential spoilers.

This latest officially released promo doesn't give too much away, but we do learn a little more about The Riddler's (Paul Dano) nefarious plans for Bruce Wayne. There are also some new shots of the Dark Knight (Robert Pattinson) and Jim Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) as they attempt to solve the villain's lethal puzzles, as well as another glimpse of Edward Nashton himself.

It was recently confirmed that The Batman will clock in at just under three hours, which has prompted the usual "are movies too long now" discourse (you can find our thoughts on the matter here).

"Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens."

“When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.”

We recently learned that The Batman will be rated PG-13 for “strong violence, disturbing content, drug content, strong language, and some suggestive material.” The movie is set to hit theaters on March 4.
