ETERNALS Is Reportedly Heading To Disney+ This January As The Movie Nears $400 Million Worldwide

Eternals is still playing in theaters, but as we start gearing up for December's blockbusters, when will the Marvel Studios movie arrive on Disney+? We have news on that, and a box office update, here...

Eternals arrived in theaters earlier this month, and it's been an interesting ride for the Marvel Studios movie. Their worst-reviewed title to date has been embraced by comic book fans, and the movie felt like a bold step forward for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in terms of ambitious storytelling.

Over the five-day Thanksgiving holiday, Eternals managed to earn $11.4 million at the North American box office from 3,165 theaters. With Encanto and Ghostbusters: Afterlife posing stiff competition, this drop was to be expected; however, with $150 million domestically, Chloé Zhao's first blockbuster has earned $368 million at the worldwide box office.

That's a solid result in the "COVID era," especially without a China release. It's likely the movie will eventually reach the $400 million mark, but a streaming debut does appear to be imminent.

According to Streaming Guider, Eternals has been slotted in for a January 12, 2022 debut on Disney+.

This hasn't been officially announced yet, but makes sense with what we know about how Disney is handling the release window for its moves at this time. A Blu-ray release has been scheduled, but we're also waiting on release date news for that as well (chances are it will be around the same time).
