Another New Clip From BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS - Part 1

It's been a decade since Bruce Wayne hung up his cape, following most of the other superheroes who had been forced into retirement. Facing the downside of middle age, a restless Bruce Wayne pacifies his frustration with race cars and liquor – but the bat still beckons as he watches his city fall prey to gangs of barbaric criminals known as The Mutants.

The return of Harvey Dent as Two-Face finally prompts Wayne to once again don the Dark Knight’s cowl, and his dramatic capture of the villain returns him to crime-fighting – simultaneously making him the target of law enforcement and the new hope for a desolate Gotham City. Particularly inspired is a teenage girl named Carrie, who adopts the persona of Robin and ultimately saves Batman from a brutal attack by the Mutant leader. Armed with a new sidekick, and re-energized with a definitive purpose, the Dark Knight returns to protect Gotham from foes new...and old.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part 1 will be released in the US on Blu-ray and DVD and download on September 25th, 2012 from Warner Home Video, with Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part 2 following in early 2013.

You should post the video in you tube so the non-US users can watch it too.

Im aatching this again for the fifth time right now... it gets better and better! Granted robocop's voice does take a little time getting used to as bruce but nevertheless.... even the last seconds minutes are true gold and the cliff hangover will bring upon a classic reunion. Part 2 will reign supreme! All this coming from a guy who hated TDKR, but this is marvelous ^_^

How come it hasn't been released yet if I have already seen it dubbed in portuguese? I thought it was out already.

I watched this online about a week ago and was unimpressed. Not by the animation or the voice acting, but just by the story. Bare in mind I've not read 'The Dark Knight Returns' graphic novel, so I can't accurately judge how the movie fairs as an adaptation. That said, in my opinion 'Batman: Year One' was a lot more interesting.

On a side note, I'd love it if DC made animated adaptations of 'The Killing Joke,' 'The Long Halloween,' 'Knightfall,' and Brian Azzarello's 'Joker.' Wishful thinking, I know, but it would be cool.

When the Dark Knight Returns was first published it was utterly ground breaking and foreshadowed a lot of things, that we take for granted 24 hour news for example. Year One is a good story but this is Millers finest work IMHO.

The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 is yet another great DC/WB animated feature. This is probably in my top 3 or 4 DC/WB animated features to date. Can't wait for Part 2...there is going to be a Part 2, isn't there?
