@pepe just got back from watching Godzilla, its awesome but with some annoying flaws, but that final kill makes it worthwhile

In order for kids to go see it it needs a sense of creativity, something they have never really seen.

This will bomb. Royally.

*** THIS COMMENT CONTAINS GODZILLA SPOILERS***

@Ace101

Godzilla lacked emotion, it had some at the start, but that died with Cranston, they should of kept him around a lot longer as once he was gone I lost a lot of interest.

Also it had no fear or suspense, except once when they where on the railway bridge but other than that I was never worried for the main hero or his family. I would have liked to see more people shitting their pants when seeing the monsters but the panic was pretty ordinary and underwhelming.

If you have seen directors cut of Return of the King when the Witch King lands in front of Gandalf and Pippin and the Nazgul roars at them, Gandalf and Pippin go into this state of absolute shock and fear at the sight of it for a brief moment, Jackson does little things like this very well, also done in King Kong, sort of akin to the Dragonfear in D&D which creates an overpowering sense of fear in people, this is something I feel should be portrayed more in these sorts of movies, it would give a more realistic emotion to the characters when encountering these monsters.

And apart from that the story was alright and the monsters looked good and the fights where fun even though they where short, but it was all in all pretty disappointing and not what I expected after watching the trailers, though I agree the final kill was cool.

Also way to many little children in it, maybe less camera time on the children and more on the monsters.

Thanks for the spoiler warning, more movies have been ruined for me on this site than anywhere else. I love CBM.com but not those users that have a need to impress by spoiling just-released titles.

looks cool enough.

Animation looks sharp.

It'll be a nice break from the Marvel/DC live action tidal wave, the recent Kaiju movement, or Disney's other blatant attempts to force barely passible sequels into existence (seriously, how the hell does "Planes" make enough loot to justify another one).

Here's hoping that Sunfire and Silver Samurai are in it. Now that would be bomb.

Why are people talking about Godzilla in a non related article to Godzilla? The movie was good, nuff said.
