Bugs Bunny Is Returning To The Big Screen

Bugs Bunny Is Returning To The Big Screen

Warner Brothers are making a live action/CGI Bugs Bunny movie

Warner Brothers studios have hired "Elf" writer David Berenbaum to write another big screen adventure. They hope this will be a revival for one of their most famed properties. Warner Brothers have already done work to revive the cult characters known as part of The Looney Tunes by making 3D short films. These short films will air before "Cats And Dogs 2," Zack Snyder's film "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole," and "Yogi Bear."

Bugs Bunny's first comic book appearance was in "Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies Comics" #1. Bugs Bunny spent years being featured in Dell Comics in the 1940s and 1950s.

I dont know. As long as they dont make Bugs "hip for the youth of today" make him rap, talk in slang, have any pop culture refernces (unless there actually clever), dance that way these damn cartoon characters in live action movies dance where there turned around from the camera with there butts shaking in the air. then It might be good.

I actually can't wait for the new tv show this fall. If you havn't heard of it, the show is called The Looney Tunes Show and it will air this fall on Cartoon Network. Heres the premise:

The concept of that show revolves around Bugs and Daffy leaving the woods and moving to the suburbs with "colorful neighbors" including Sylvester and Tweety, Granny, and of course Yosemite Sam. The show is also reported to feature CG shorts with Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner and "Merrie Melodies," two-minute music videos showcasing classic characters singing original songs.

i worked on "Space Jam" and it was a blast! not a GREAT movie but it was head and shoulders better than the BACK IN ACTION mess.

i just hope they dont water down Bugs or do some safeplay version of him. WB tends to do a lot of playing-it-safe.

@Hela- Nah. Now tripping for Jurassic Park, that was much freakier. Ahhh... I miss my teenage years. :)

p.s. Kids, if you're reading this, don't do drugs. Drugs are bad, m'kay.

p.p.s. I'm listening to "Drug Me" by the Dead Kennedys as I write this. Lol!
