Marvel's latest animated film, Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher hit Blu-Ray and DVD on March 25, and many fans have agreed that the film was great, and while it had it's flaws, it was the best anime that Marvel had released, and quite possibly their best animated feature overall. Some great new line art has hit for the movie's main heroes, as well as some side characters.

After interfering with a top secret mission, THE PUNISHER is taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D. AGENT and AVENGER, BLACK WIDOW. At the orders of Director Nick Fury, Punisher and Black Widow are sent on a mission to stop LEVIATHAN, a global terrorist organization, that plans to sell stolen S.H.I.E.L.D. technology to the highest bidder. Now, the vigilante and spy must work together to prevent this technology from falling into the wrong hands. The fate of the world, and of the AVENGERS, hangs in the balance.

Movie was good. I've liked all the Marvel Anime, even Wolverine (one I got passed the voice). Technovore was pretty much a cash in with IM3. But this has nothing attached to it and it was a decent story with some great action. The big brawl toward the end was AWESOME!!

It was mediocre. Not bad, not good, not original. 4 or 5/10.

It's too bad that Marvel doesn't try to model the art in its animated movies on the actual art from its comic books. They have so many great artists and instead we get this generic anime garbage.

DC did right in their Dark Knight Returns adaption by modeling the characters (at least somewhat) after Frank Miller's art.

I wanted to like it, I really did. It started out with a great concept and a solid plot. But....

at the end the Avengers just suddenly show up. It's pretty stupid that they don't play a part in the movie what-so-ever and then they're suddenly just there....barely help and are gone again...

Glad the Punisher is showcased.
With Disney owning Marvel & they have his rights back,we won't ever see a hardcore movie again.

Just finished it. The plot leaves alot to be desired and most of the character's choices really left me scratching my head. Nothing in this movie makes alot of sense.
