Before you say "This isn't comic books!" Be sure to check out their #1 issue, the best-selling, comic book in the Futurama series. It features a hilarious adventure where Bender becomes a superhero, saving New New York from destruction with the help of his friends. The comic is filled with witty humor and pop culture references, making it a must-read for fans.

A down-on-his-luck delivery kid named Fry accidentally became cryogenically frozen, waking up 1,000 years later, and this was how Futurama got its start.

Fry had a hard time adjusting to the future, alien-filled world and figuring out where he fits in. Before he came across Bender, a rude robot who took Fry under his wing and taught him the ropes.

Together, they joined the crew of the Planet Express delivery spacecraft, which was commanded by the eccentric Professor Farnsworth and operated by the mutant one-eyed Leela. Futurama set out on a crazy trip with a supporting cast of characters, including the crazy scientist Dr. Zoidberg, that was full of hilarity and shenanigans at every step.

Professor Farnsworth is actually Fry's distant nephew and primary delivery boy. Hilariously, Fry is often the source of the Professor's frustration due to his foolishness, yet they share a strong, dysfunctional bond.

Then there's Fry's love interest, Leela. Leela is a mutant, raised by the sewer mutants and searching for her true identity. She joins Planet Express as a delivery captain and falls in love with Fry. Hilariously, her cyclops eye often leads to awkward moments and misadventures.

Perhaps one of the best adventures was The Deep South (episode 12 of season 2). The crew visits the underwater city of Atlanta and accidentally starts a civil war. They become stranded and Fry has a quick interest with one of their mermaids... In another, they travel to the year 3,000 to win a cake-baking contest and run into a future version of Bender. The humor is wacky, dry, and often satirical, making it a classic of animated sci-fi comedy.

Just as entertaining, Futurama's finale was appropriate for a program that had been delighting viewers for years.

Bender's discovery that he had a backup copy of his brain kept in a far-off location was the catalyst for the entire situation. A duplicate Bender is generated when he activates it, causing mayhem to spread over the area. The remaining characters are coping with a major invasion of killer robots in the meantime.

In the midst of the conflict, Bender realizes that merging his copy back into himself is the only way to win. Because doing so would require him to give up the adventures he had with his counterpart, he is hesitant.

Fry offers a solution: why not create two of everything, including Benders, Frys, Leelas, and so on, so that everyone can have a duplicate? There are an endless number of Bender and Fry adventures in the universe.

Fans were left in stitches and eager for even more absurd antics in the future as Futurama came to an exciting conclusion. It was a fitting sendoff for a program that consistently made us chuckle.
