I'm pretty sure a lot of people remember the 90s Marvel AU, that had animated series for Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Hulk, Iron Man, and Silver Surfer. Crossovers were occasional, and a few characters that didn't get their own series (Ghost Rider, Thor, etc) appeared from time to time. Since the end of The Avengers: United They Stand's run in 2000, we've never had a full universe of TV shows that intersected entire series of Marvel properties...until now.
It appears that the upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man series will be tied-in with The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes because (1) the woman who voices Wasp in EMH will be voicing her in Ulti-Spidey, which is a very obvious hint at a crossover or two, (2) it's been confirmed that other characters will guest star, and (3) we've had many other heroes guest star on EMH (Fantastic Four, Wolverine [albeit briefly], etc), so it would only be obvious that Spider-Man will appear at some point. Plus, it appears that S.H.I.E.L.D. will be heavily involved in the new Spidey show (as they are in EMH), so I can definitely see them share the same universe.
I also believe that we should have more TV shows within this possible new universe. The following characters I'd like to see get their own show:
-Fantastic Four
-X-Men/Wolverine (Wolverine can pwn his own show, but it wouldn't hurt for the rest of the team to be in it)
-Ghost Rider (this guy gets his own live action movie, but not an animated show? Fail)
-Thor (have it spin off from EMH; I'd like to see it as a prequel of sorts chronicling his adventures before the events of EMH)
-Captain America (have it chronicle his battles in WWII)
So does anyone else think that Ultimate Spider-Man and The Avengers: EMH is a perfect start for a new Marvel universe? Sound out below in the usual place.
