Below is the transcript of some interesting answers from Marvel chief, Joe Quesada:

When asked about what it means for this show to be 100% made by Marvel and how different this series is from previous Spidey show:

Quesada:"What it means is that it's probably the truest to the "Marvel DNA". In the past, we've had other people interpreting what Marvel is, and some of these people may have been ex-Marvel writers or employees, or people that are Marvel fans, but ultimately, these are now current Marvel creators involved in the making of these shows. It's like I like to say, "If you're a fan of Marvel, the comics, the movies that we produce, this is the same thing with animation.” It's... you're getting Marvel straight from the tap. Pure, pure Marvel."

When Asked about the 4th wall breaking aspect for the show:

Quesada: "Yeah, absolutely. It's a funny story behind that, because as we were developing this show, I remember sending Jeph Loeb an email, saying "Listen, I have this idea. When we all read these Spider-Man series or the movie or the old cartoons, there's one thing that we get out of Peter Parker, we either feel that we could BE him, that he's very much like us, or we feel like we know someone just like him. So I was thinking why not just have Peter react with us and talk to us?" And almost simultaneously, as I was saying this, we were closing on the deal to get Paul Dini to be part of the team, and Paul had sent Jeph an email, saying almost the exact same idea, so it was something that was in the air. And we just added it to the show and it just seemed to flow naturally and quite frankly, I think that this particular idea that's going to blossom in the show is something that will probably morph its way into other aspects of the world of Spider-Man. Maybe even in the comic books."

Spider-Man is totally stealing Deadpools gig! And 'closest to the Marvel DNA'? I heard this show was shit, so I hope Joe Q isn't subtly insulting his entire company...

Young Justice is a million times better than Earths Mightiest Heroes so let's not say its the best cartoon show. Also Ultimate Spiderman is pretty good especially for its audience. It's a cartoon for kids marketed to kids not grown ass men. If you want a more mature cartoon go watch the old Marvel cartoons or watch Young Justice and the Justice league cartoons.

This show does not have Marvel DNA, it has the Marvel name and image attached to horribly written crap. That is all the show is. Maybe little kids do like it but when they get older and start reading the actual Marvel comics, they're gonna be very bewildered.

This seems more like what the non-Marvel produced shows should have been. A half-hour toy commercial

I love watching this show with my 6 year old nephew because he literally makes himself cry with laughter. If that's the kind of response that this show inspires...make mine stupid & Marvel.

Why so serious? :p

Now we see why he defends it so vigorously. It was his idea to go this route. Of course he's never going to see it with an unbiased eye. What people are constantly forgetting here is this is not aimed at teens or adults. It's for small children. My kid likes it. I hate it. That's what they were aiming for in the first place so How can you or I rip it when it's clearly not meant to please us.

Now them wanting to cancel the one show that IS for a more mature audience in order to reboot it in Ultimates mode for little kids is a legitimate gripe, so bitch away.
