These intergalactic bad guys are going to be causing our heroes all sorts of problems in season 2 of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and Marvel have just posted three new stills giving us a look at em..

From Marvel.com..

A large part of Season 2 of "The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!" focuses on the ongoing battle between two warring intergalactic alien empires: The Kree and the Skrulls. As it turns out, they’ve been battling it out for a while--centuries, even--and it just so happens that Earth is their next battleground. The Avengers have been warned as much by the time travelling conqueror, Kang, and Captain Mar-Vell, a representative of the Kree Navy who was sent to Earth to study both the planet and its inhabitants. Mar-Vell is a friend of Carol Danvers, and in fact, disobeyed orders to save her life, so we know that maybe not all Kree are bad. But it’s only a matter of time before their armies arrive. Both S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers are our planet’s last defense, and they’re going to need to work together in order to stop the coming invasion. Because it’s definitely coming.

I was a little put off at first by the weirdly accurate RDJ impersonation the Stark actor does, but then I got used to it.

And yes the cheesy theme song has to go. But I wouldn't want to disappoint Tea's daughter so I guess I can just mute it. ;)

Awesome series, can't wait.

Tea, isn't kind of sad when you watch those old cartoons and you realize how much work your imagination was doing to make it cool?

I too, have a daughter for an excuse to watch cartoons, but...I'm pretty sure I'd watch Avengers even if I didn't.

When are the Silver Surfer and Thanos going to show up, I wonder? Surely they have the rights to put them in the cartoon since the FF cameo all the time.

@ MassExecutions: Yeah, the old Spiderman will always be my favorite but they certainly did not break the bank on the animation lol.

Gotta sign off all, have a great weekend!

Tea@ Yeah...they really aren't. Not quite as big a difference between my recollection and reality as He-Man, but still.

Samurai Jack, however, remains great forever. I think Spectacular Spider-man is really going to hold up too. I hope Ultimate Spider-man doesn't blow a pretty good run of comic book cartoons.

Tea@ - I love those life lessons! Yeah, its like, "we accidently unleashed an ancient evil, so never cross the street without and adult."

Ah, the 80's when everybody knew that communists and Skeletor were evil. In some ways, I miss them. Not in very many ways, but some ways.

I love the theme song from EMH.

We had the 1960's Spider-Man cartoon here in South Africa in the early 1980's but it was dubbed into Zulu as was the theme song which was awesome. "Rabobi" is "Spider-Man" in Zulu.

:P

Bravestar was cool...the horse wielded a shotgun.

Tea@ Damn straight! Nothing like an eras of impending nuclear war, military police actions, and rising street crime to get some darn good cinema!
MassExecutions
MassExecutions - 3/16/2012, 3:08 PM
Tea@ Oh yeah, I'm confident. We may have to wait until Iran has the nuke and America has riots like Greece before we get the really good stuff, but hey! Like I said the other day, we're kind of in a new golden age of TV right now! Social unrest is definitely starting to pay off.

I also miss the 80's. People have forgotten how to party with no imminent threat to seek a momments peace from. You also didn't go to jail every time you hit somebody. The police used to actually ask who the moron was that was being an idiot and started the incident.

I never liked any of the cartoons when I was younger. EVen though I did enjoy the Hell out of The Justice League, I absolutely love EMH. I wanted this show when I was a kid and I am still able to enjoy it, without feeling bad about it.

P.S. Dusto was 29 in 63.
