While we may have gotten reports of this before, Warner Brothers has released an official announcement for "BEWARE THE BATMAN-Season One Part One: Shadows Of Gotham":

'The caped crusader continues to conquer Gotham City’s villains with the Blu-ray™ and DVD release of Beware The Batman: Shadows of Gotham, Season 1 Part 1 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment. Batman and his trusted friends Alfred and Katana band together in the series’ first 13 episodes to face the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld.

Beware the Batman Season 1 Part 1 is available for the first time on both Blu-ray™ and DVD next Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment offers a two-disc DVD set ($19.97 SRP), while the single-disc Blu-ray™ is available from Warner Archive Collection for $19.95 via shop.warnerarchive.com and wbshop.com.

Batman swings into an exhilarating new age, teaming with a powerful allies old and new for a thrilling new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise in Beware the Batman: Shadows of Gotham, Season 1 Part 1. The new action-packed detective thriller incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogue’s gallery of criminals as the Caped Crusader faces some of Gotham City’s most despicable villains. Through the show’s first 13 animated adventures of this two-disc collection, ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana join Batman to takes on an array of evildoers including the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. This thrilling series redefines what we have come to know as the “Batman show” and is sure to excite fans with cutting-edge CGI visuals.

“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is delighted to begin this exhilarating animated Batman series with the release of Beware The Batman: Shadows of Gotham, Season 1 Part 1,” Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President, Family & Animation and Partner Brands Marketing. “Fans will be excited to see their favorite super hero up against a whole new set of villains from the DC Universe to continue the expansion of the Dark Knight franchise!”'

The Blu-Ray and DVD will feature the episodes (in order):

1. Hunted
2. Secrets
3. Tests
4. Safe
5. Broken
6. Toxic
7. Family
8. Allies
9. Control
10. Sacrifice
11. Instinct
12. Attraction (Never Before Seen)
13. Fall (Never Before Seen)

"Attraction" will feature the return of the super-villain called Magpie and, while no description has been released for "Fall," it sounds like Humpty Dumpty might be back (just by speculating because of the name of the title). Originally, season one was announced to have a total of 26 episodes but it is highly unlikely the remaining episodes will ever reach the airwaves. Despite this, the title of this home video release does make it sound like the remaining unaired episodes will all be released to home video eventually, though only time will tell if that's true or not.

This innovative series has done it's best to be original by introducing lesser known villains like Cypher and Lunkhead into mainstream media, giving us an animation style never before used in Batman cartoons, introducing a more "Batman: Earth One"-like Alfred, and giving the Caped Crusader a new side kick in the form of former Birds Of Prey member Katana, but none of this seemed to be enough to attract viewers. For fans of the series, let's keep our fingers crossed the remaining episodes will get the Blu-Ray and DVD treatment.

This is also why YJ failed. CN randomly put it on hiatus without warning and then randomly returned it without warning. If CN was such a [frick]ing shitty network we'd likely be seeing Darkseid right now. I mean it's an animated show on CN that pretty much got the same ratings as Arrow right now.

I agree. I have had it up to here with Cartoon Network. They've already made it clear that every serious DC Universe show on the network will get cancelled, so WB needs to find a new network for DC Nation.

I heard that YJ and GL:TAS got canned because girls were liking the shows and CN doesn't like that idea and felt it failed if girls liked the show. That basically makes CN a bunch more hateful than ever.

@MidNightWind I highly doubt that's the case.

The YJ toys didn't sell and they didn't even make GL:TAS toys because the Green Lantern movie toys didn't sell. That's the bottom line.

Of course, it didn't help that the Young Justice and Green Lantern toys sucked, or that toy-aged kids weren't interested in the shows...

@Rex

Maybe because NT failed to even market the toys properly in the first place?

First season YJ was great but then they aged everyone and made the whole show just an excuse to shove Jaime Reyes down our throats at all costs so that is what ruined it.
