The very first Super Friends incarnation, with Wendy, Marvin & Wonderdog is finally coming to DVD!



Fans have been waiting years for this and now it's here! The show was comprised of 16 hour long episodes (about 45 minutes without commercials) and included some rare guest appearances such as Green Arrow & Plastic Man among others.



Warner Brothers is releasing the 1973 Season in Two 8 episode Volumes, which are both 2 discs each.

I like the old Super Friends stuff. I may buy this just for the Green Arrow episode. He only appeared in the one.

does anyone remember the old saturday morning cartoon of plastic man from the 80's? I wish they would release that on dvd.

I loved Super Friends as a kid. Some of the 1977-78 is a little to rough to watch now with Apache Chief, Black Vulcan & Samurai.

@Angelo: I would love to see Plastic Man in CG. Jim Carey could still be the model and voice for the character.

@DogsofWar: But those characters are what make the Harvey Birdman show great. "Pure electricity...in my pants."-Black Vulcan Doesn't get much better than that.

I liked it until the wonder twins showed up.
side note in the comics WonderDog kills Marvin puts Wendy in a coma and we find out that the Calculator is the father of Wendy and Marvin who at the time working for the Teen Titans.... crapola!!!!!!!
