It was previously announced that Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, would be lending his voice to Chinnos in a
Season 31 episode of
The Simpsons. His character is clearly a satire built around the
Avengers villain Thanos, and his image showed an exaggerated number of chins previewing the jokes to come.
In addition to that, The dynamic duo of Anthony and Joe Russo
(Avengers: Endgame, 21 Bridges, Community) were also announced to be voicing two movie executives that are after "Spoiler-Boy" (Bart) from spoiling their upcoming
Vindicators movie in another bit of spot on casting.
One of the most recognizable faces in the MCU is Cobie Smulders
(How I Met Your Mother) as her character of Maria Hill offers generous connective tissue between the films in the univers, making appearances in
The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D., Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and even a twisted part in
Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The actress has been busy with her latest project
Stumptown, but that isn't stopping her from nabbing a role alongside her Marvel family in the upcoming Simpsons episode. In fact, joining her is her real life husband, Taran Killam
(SNL, Community). Killam plays Airshot while Smulders lends her voice to Hydrangea, both of which are superhero alter-egos from the
Vindicators film.
TV Line has shared the following images which preview what Cobie Smulders character Hydrangea and Taran Killam's Airshot will look like, and we have also included the previously shared photo of Kevin Feige's Chinnos. Take a look below and share your thoughts in the comments section! Will these MCU connections have you watching this episode of
The Simpsons?
Set in the town of Springfield, The Simpsons lampoons both American culture and the human condition. It is a satirical depiction of a dysfunctional middle-class American lifestyle starring the eponymous family: Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, and Maggie.
The Simpsons is available to stream on Disney+ while new episodes air each Sunday on FOX.
