Disney+ has announced (via Toonado.com) that season 34 of the hit animated series The Simpsons will launch on October 11 on the streaming service.

The new season of the Emmy Award-, Annie Award-, and Peabody Award-winning animated comedy will take us back to Springfield for 22 more episodes of fun with the Simpson family. Season 34 also marks an impressive milestone - the 750th episode of The Simpsons titled "Homer’s Adventures Through The Windshield Glass."

As if that's not exciting enough, the season features guest voice appearances from Fred Armisen, Anna Faris, Will Forte, Lizzo, Rob Lowe, Melissa McCarthy, Jade Novah, Aubrey Plaza, John Roberts, Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu, and more.

Accompanying this news is new season 34 artwork from the widely praised Treehouse of Horror XXXIII "Death Tome" segment which you can check out below.

The longest-running primetime scripted show in television history, The Simpsons exploded into popular culture in 1989 and has remained one of the most groundbreaking and innovative entertainment franchises, recognizable throughout the world. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie are instantly identifiable television icons.

In the premiere, Homer is desperate to prove he’s not dumb and sets out to solve the case of the tortoise missing from the zoo. Season 34 also features a double dose of "Treehouse of Horror" episodes, marking the first time in the show’s history there have been two "Treehouse"-branded episodes in a single Halloween.

In addition to 34 seasons of The Simpsons, Disney+ is also home to The Simpsons Movie and 10 shorts featuring the Simpsons family.

While many longtime fans of The Simpsons feel the show has lost some of its charm in recent years, it remains incredibly popular and its momentum isn't slowing down. Spending time with these characters is still enjoyable but, talking of that movie, it's a little perplexing that Disney still hasn't chosen to move forward with another big screen outing.

The Simpsons was renewed for seasons 35 and 36 back in January, officially making it the longest-running scripted primetime series in television history. Clearly, this series isn't going anywhere and the fact it's such a draw on streaming is no doubt a big part of that.

Yep, this was part of last year’s Tree House of Horror episode, and it was surprisingly well done!

That’s for sure… we’ve come a long, long way from the dark ages of swapping bootleg VHS tapes of Ranma 1/2 and Fist of the North Star!

Guys, the episode itself is a year old. It just take a year for new seasons to come to Disney+

If youre interested in this segment, you can watch it now. I'm pretty sure it's on HULU, and if it isn't, it's not hard to find online in the slightest.
