SCOOB International Poster Reveals A First Look At The Redesigned Version Of Captain Caveman

Scoob was recently delayed for an indefinite period of time by Warner Bros. thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and we now don't know when the studio's reimagined take on these classic characters will arrive in theaters. It could be much later this year or even 2021, and there are those who remain convinced films like this will receive Digital debuts instead.

Like every other upcoming blockbuster, what comes next is a guessing game right now, and we're forced to accept the fact we'll have to wait that much longer to see "Baby Scoob" (a very real rival to the adorable Baby Yoda and Baby Groot) steal our hearts on the silver screen.

Bleeding Cool has shared an international poster for the film today which highlights the gang, those heroic new creations, and the iconic Captain Caveman! A few changes have been made to his appearance to give him a modern-day update, but it's definitely still the version of the Hanna-Barbera character many of you will have grown up watching on Sunday mornings.

We don't know when new content from Scoob will be released now it's been hit by a COVID-19 delay, but character posters showing off these redesigned icons would be very welcome.

They're releasing posters for a movie with no release date. Weird...

@tmp3

Honestly we may get another Tenet trailer soon. Especially if it doesn’t move from its July release date in the next week or two.

Prolly would’ve debuted with No Time to Die if that was still on its target date.

I really can't imagine this Hanna-Barbara universe idea of there's going over very well. Scooby-Doo has endured for 50 years, but does anyone even remember these cartoons?

@MasterMix - I had to research "Hanna Barbera" and the "wacky races" to understand what the fuss is all about. This seems like a very bizarre idea, am not an 80s kid so I don't associate Scooby Doo with any of this. The idea of an animated movie universe might work better for Loony Tunes tbh.

I'm still pretty annoyed by how they treated Matthew Lillard, but I'm also excited by the cross-over with the lesser known classic HB cartoons like Blue Falcon and Captain Caveman. So I'll probably wind up watching, whenever it manages to come out.

Definitely a bummer. Love a Will Forte but Matt Lillard clearly had a passion for the role.

I personally have fond memories of Captain Caveman, I was never big into it, but I liked the character, his crazy personality and his trademark screaming of his name. Now his inclusion in this upcoming film along with Blue Falcon just screams of a cinematic universe, but I'd rather just see how this film does firstly and if a couple of Hanna-Barbera cameos work, then we can see how some of their additional characters may work in a sequel.
