Harmony Gold, original "creators" and distributors of the
Robotech anime are back and looking to continue the Robotech saga. If you're unfamiliar with the history of Robotech, the series was created in the US by combining footage from three Japanese anime,
The Super Dimension Fortress Macross,
Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross and
Genesis Climber Mospeada. Harmony Gold combined footage from these three shows and dubbed over the original dialogue to tell a completely different story. In a way, it's almost the first abridged series. According to the information included in the kickstarter campaign,
Robotech Academy will focus on the children of the characters from the original Robotech anime, set in the
Robotech Sentinels world. Check out the video below and
