Seeing this concept art just makes me look back fondly at the time when it didn’t seem like an ANT-MAN movie had any chance in hell of being made. But here we are, in what is probably the CBM (or at least Marvel CBM) Golden Age, when any hero has a shot at movie stardom.

These helmet designs are very iffy -- I'm pleased with what we got.

I liked the suit more in Ant-Man than I did in Civil War, and that was mainly because of the difference in helmet.

Marvel Studios really has the GOAT superhero designs. Imagine the Astonishing X-Men suits with the Marvel touch:

The Scott Lang from Earth's Mightiest Heroes seems more compelling then Movie Scott Lang. I wish the movie had taken more from the comics like the sick daughter.

Well, I guess that's one good thing to come of Edgar Wright walking. Unless, like Nomis said, Hank goes bad because he has a mental breakdown he can't control because he's a notorious crazy person, I'm not too big on Hank being a villain.

@MrMartyMarvel - Agreed. The whole domestic violence storyline back around vol.1. #217 was very forced and felt like they did it to check a box for "we addressed that social issue." Just like they did in Green Arrow with the drug story. I always liked Hank and hope they do more with the character.

Hank Pum as Black Aunt. Could be a very different kind of movie. Not sure when Wilding last proof-read himself.

Lots of people talk like Wright's Ant-man would have been amazing, but I'm kind of relieved we didn't have Hank Pym's character completely destroyed.

I'm pretty sure that at least one of these designs was a GIJoe figure back in the 80s.

i love Ant-Man a lot. I'm a little aprehensive for the sequel to see whether the parts i love left with Edgar Wright or whether the parts i love where there because Edgar Wright left.
