Ant-Man and The Wasp hits UK theaters today and to celebrate, we're taking a look at some awesome alternate designs for the costumes worn by both Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne in the Marvel Studios sequel!

Ant-Man and The Wasp may not have stakes as high as Avengers: Infinity War but the sequel is still a lot of fun and it does a surprising amount to move the Marvel Cinematic Universe forward by introducing new characters, developing existing ones, and exploring the mysterious Quantum Realm.

We've looked at a lot of different concept art from the movie (you can find it all under our "Features" tab) but today we're putting the spotlight on the titular heroes. In the case of Scott Lang, there are a couple of different designs here, including one which is clearly inspired by the Eric O'Grady version of Black Ant. Hope Van Dyne, meanwhile, is decked out in some suits clearly inspired by her mother.

I hope they make the gold on Wasp suit a little brighter in 3. I also hope they figure out a way to do the half face mask that is sort of iconic with Ant-Man. I know in part 1 they actually had concept art for it but it never made it past that.

@smgmayhem - one of the only non red/blue characters in the entire MCU and they still found a way to make her suit mostly navy and red

I actually really like the all black Ant-Man suit. A "Secret Avengers" storyline could have made good use for it (even though Black isn't really a good covert suit color)

Wasp’s suit definitely looks better when the gold is more bold and it doesn’t have red lines on it.

Yeah, so I'm late to the party (stupid world cup,stupid UK) and as I avoided previous threads (no spoilers) this may have been discussed at length already but did anyone else think the film included a sneaky nod to the mutant gene? Could be nothing but with Janet's new powers, her saying surviving was not just about "adaptation but evolution" and the fact that Janet was a mutant in the Ultimate line.
