ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Nabs $11M+ Thursday Night, Tracking In Line With The First GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
The first Ant-Man film amassed $6.4M in its Thursday preview night showings and an early report indicates that Ant-Man and the Wasp could double those numbers on its way to a fantastic opening weekend.
The early tracking numbers for Ant-Man and the Wasp cements the fact that Marvel Studios has another franchise that other studios would love to have.
The first Ant-Man film opened to $6.4 million Thursday night preview returns but the sequel will gross between $11-$13M. It's currently keeping pace with the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, which opened to a $11.2M Thursday, $37.8M Friday and a total domestic opening of $94.3M.
Ant-Man and the Wasp opens wide, across the U.S. tomorrow in 4,206 theaters with 3,000 of those locations having 3D showings.
