Avatar: The Way of Water has proven to be a huge success for Disney, with James Cameron's 3D epic quickly becoming one of the highest-grossing movies of all time.
Similar to what happened when Avatar broke records in 2009, it appears we can look forward to (dread?) a new wave of 3D conversions. Now, Marvel Studios has started hyping up a version of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania that makes use of the format, and this TV spot is packed full of new footage.
We'll leave it down to you to decide whether it will be worth buying a 3D ticket for the Ant-Man threequel, but this sneak peek confirms Kang the Conqueror is trapped in the Quantum Realm...and that it's down to Scott Lang to stop him from escaping!
The time-travelling villain describes the mind-bending reality as a "cage," and Janet Van Dyne definitely seems to know a lot about him. Could rumours she's responsible for trapping Kang there be correct? If so, that could explain why he decides to make Earth-616 one of the first realities he conquers!
Check out this new Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania TV spot below.
In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.
Directed by Peyton Reed, the threequel also stars Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17.
