ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA 3D Extended TV Spot Confirms Kang Is Trapped In The Quantum Realm

Thanks to Avatar: The Way of Water, 3D has made a comeback, and Marvel Studios has teased that for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania with a new extended TV spot featuring heaps of revealing footage...

Avatar: The Way of Water has proven to be a huge success for Disney, with James Cameron's 3D epic quickly becoming one of the highest-grossing movies of all time.

Similar to what happened when Avatar broke records in 2009, it appears we can look forward to (dread?) a new wave of 3D conversions. Now, Marvel Studios has started hyping up a version of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania that makes use of the format, and this TV spot is packed full of new footage.

We'll leave it down to you to decide whether it will be worth buying a 3D ticket for the Ant-Man threequel, but this sneak peek confirms Kang the Conqueror is trapped in the Quantum Realm...and that it's down to Scott Lang to stop him from escaping!

The time-travelling villain describes the mind-bending reality as a "cage," and Janet Van Dyne definitely seems to know a lot about him. Could rumours she's responsible for trapping Kang there be correct? If so, that could explain why he decides to make Earth-616 one of the first realities he conquers!

Check out this new Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania TV spot below.

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

Directed by Peyton Reed, the threequel also stars Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17.

"Kang Is Trapped In The Quantum Realm" – thanks for whacking a spoiler right in the headline, Josh. Really great for those of us who've been avoiding the trailers in order to maximise the 'surprise' elements of this movie. Here's an idea, how about NOT putting any plot info apart from what's in the studio blurb into story headings???

@CaptainAustralia - That really isn't a spoiler.

@CaptainAustralia - it's kind of hard to tell what's some people classify as a spoiler or not these days. I mean you just got mad at Josh for posting something from a trailer that the studio themselves put out.

Who is to say someone won't get up in arms about Josh posting something right out of thr "studio blurb"?

Hope it's Janet who trapped him in there because they were enemies when she was also trapped in the QR. Would be far more interesting than Janet having had any (romantic) relation with him (or someone else).

I get that it's to show that it's in 3D (even though its definitely just post converted) but I really hate when trailers will show movies and shit in the movie is sticking out of the aspect ratio. Looks weird as hell and it's distracting

Gosh darn, I haven't been to the theaters since Jackass Forever, which was last February. I'm still just on the fence of going to see Avatar (I know I wouldn't regret it on the massive IMAX screen like I saw the first), but with each new trailer for this I just don't think I can miss this one. I am too darn excited to see Kang start wrecking sh*t.

Assuming we get one more official trailer, I would assume they show more of The Wasp. She was all but entirely absent in the last trailer, and the teaser I recall being a little more fair, but still she's felt oddly not around in the footage.
