Detective Pikachu star Kathryn Newton takes over the role of Scott Lang's daughter, Cassie, in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. This was made official during Disney's Investor Day last year, and it seems Marvel Studios wanted a bigger star than relative newcomer Emma Fuhrmann (who played the character in Avengers: Endgame).
Evangeline Lilly recently shared a first look at the threequel's script, and seemingly confirmed that Corey Stoll will make his return as Darren Cross/Yellowjacket. That's not outside the realm of possibility after he was seemingly pulled into the Quantum Realm, and the actress has now once again taken to social media, this time to praise the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new Cassie.
"Just got off the phone with Kathryn Newton I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE HER JOINING OUR CAST! #smart #dedicated #respectful #humble #beautiful" she says in the post below.
Newton would later respond via an Instagram Story, noting "Low key freaking out I love Evangeline Lilly so much!" It's great that these two have already bonded, especially as it would make sense for The Wasp to take Cassie - who may become Stature or Stinger in this movie - under her wing and train her as a superhero (likely to Scott's chagrin as the girl's father).
