According to Deadline and various other sites, The Conjuring's Patrick Wilson is set to join the cast of Edgar Wright's Ant-Man. That means he will be joining the already confirmed Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, along with both Michael Pena and Evangeline Lilly (although the latter has yet to make a decision due to the fact that it entails signing up for multiple sequels). The Wrap goes on to add that, "It’s not immediately clear which side Wilson’s character will be on, though Marvel has been searching for another charismatic leading man, a description that fits Wilson." Two options instantly spring to mind here. That of the lead villain in the movie or a young Hank Pym, as Douglas does begin his career as the pint sized superhero in the 1960s. What do you guys think?

He has the look to play a younger Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.

That would be pretty funny if he ends up being the 60s Pym

Between the director, composer, the cast and the idea of it being a heist film. I guarantee this will be one of Marvel's best films. I can really see Wilson as a younger Hank Pym for sure. But, he was also great in Hard Candy as the villain. So, this is definitely interesting.

@SotoJuiceMan You should watch Hard Candy if you haven't already. Him and breakout role Ellen Page are phenomenal.

Hopefully 60's Pym! I've always wanted him as Mr. Fantastic, but this is a good choice too.

Haha, totally forget he played the douchey CIA agent in THE A-TEAM. He'd make a great villain if he isn't young Pym.

Cast Rudd and surround him with better choices (for respective roles). Great.

I immediately thought young Pym to Douglass's character reading this. He fits it and he's a solid actor. He's also already worked with Samuel L. Jackson in Lakeview Terrace too!

Yes! He was my original pick! Who knows maybe some time travel device or the time gem will bring him to the future.

patrick wilson is great.i would be cool if they do a sort of story split since the villain is suppose to have ties to hank pym in the 60s...maybe tell two stories going on at the same time
