On the fins of yesterday's batch of stunning character posters, we have a first look at the front and back cover art for Mike Avila's The Art and Making of Aquaman.
The front cover features Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) wielding the trident of Neptune, while the concept art on the back depicts our aquatic hero's key battle with his half-brother Orm/Ocean Master (Patrick Wilson).
Avila is full of praise for what he got to see from James Wan's movie wihile working on the book."You could’ve just printed the lookbook and I think people would’ve bought it because the concept art that James Wan and his team put together for this is just amazing," he said during an interview with SyFy Wire. "It’s really spectacular how they conceptualized and visualized this from the beginning. The visuals in this movie are just mind boggling."
From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.
Aquaman swims into theaters Dec. 21, while the book goes on sale January 1.
