AQUAMAN Star Jason Momoa Says That Henry Cavill Is "Absolutely Not" Leaving The Role Of Superman
There have been conflicting reports that Henry Cavill has parted ways with the role of Superman for quite a while now, but Aquaman star Jason Momoa seems fairly certain that he's still on board...
Jason Momoa gave a diplomatic answer when he was asked about the Henry Cavill/Ben Affleck DCEU situation during a recent interview, but this time the Aquaman star has provided a far more definitive response.
Momoa was asked whether Cavill will be back as Superman while chatting to ET at the premiere of Aquaman, and told them that the Mission: Impossible - Fallout actor is “absolutely not" stepping away from the iconic DC hero.
“I just talked to Henry… He’s absolutely not [leaving the character],” he said. “He loves the character, he’s not. 100 percent.”
This obviously contradicts the recent rumor that Cavill has hung up the cape, but it wouldn't be the first conflicting report to do the rounds since the original story was published.
At any rate, hopefully this isn't just a case of Momoa putting a positive spin on things, and Cavill will indeed return as The Man of Steel at some point.
