Take A Closer Look At 'Iron Man''s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON "Bleeding Edge" Armor

Eagle eyed fans spotted Tony Stark wearing a new armour in the latest trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron, and based on these detailed images of Tamashii Nations Bandai's upcoming Iron Man action figure, it definitely has quite a bit in common with the comic book "Bleeding Edge" suit.

Marvelous News has shared some scans of the S.H. Figuarts Avengers: Age of Ultron movie figures from Tamashii Nations Bandai, and as you can see, they give us a great look at Iron Man's new streamlined armour (presumably Mark 45) whcih he could be seen wearing in the third trailer for the sequel. Visually, it definitely appears as if this could be a stopgap between the suit inspired by the "Extremis" story arc and the Bleeding Edge suit Tony wore during Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca's lengthy Invincible Iron Man run. Whether Iron Man will be wearing this or a Mark 46 armour in Captain America: Civil War remains to be seen! What do you guys think of this suit?

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson and hits cinemas on May 1st, 2015.

That is one sexy suit of armor, sleek as [frick]. I'm surprised we haven't gotten anything like this before.

very very cool.....my fave is still the Mark 7, but this just might be a close second...although, the designers in the MCU are fantastic, and most of the IM suits look very good.

Won't he need the arc reactor for BE to work? Never understood it. Always thought they went too far at first.

I drink the tears of fanboys who were insulted by Iron Man 3.

So salty.

They the same size as the Marvel Legends?

Agreed with RetroFit, can't beat the classic Mark III from the first Iron Man.

Though I'm also partial to the Mark VII that Stark busted out during The Avengers.

Looks cool and similar to the BE (which is my favorite armor) but I'm hoping with the end of IM3 he took himself a little Extremis that lets him do all that cool stuff from the books So I'd rather both the 43 and that one be Extremis armor (my second favorite armor) and it's upgrade.
