AVENGERS 4: Let's Look At How The Team Is Shaping Up After The Events Of INFINITY WAR - SPOILERS Follow
Following the events of Infinity War, we know that the assemblage of heroes that make up the team in Avengers 4 is going to look a lot different. Here, we take a look at how that roster is shaping up...
The ending of Avengers: Infinity War may have taken quite a few players off the board, but that still left us with a very interesting group of characters in one piece and ready to continue the fight.
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR SPOILERS - A Rundown Of All Of The Biggest Reveals And Most Shocking Moments
After Thanos snapped his fingers, the original team of Earth's Mightiest Heroes - plus a few notable stragglers - were left standing, and we also have the additions of a certain mega-powerful intergalactic warrior and a couple of pint-sized adventurers to look forward to.
Below, we take a look at each of the characters that'll most likely make up the team in Avengers 4. If you haven't seen Infinity War yet, it's obviously best to avoid these MAJOR SPOILERS and come back later.

Captain America
Steve Rogers didn't end up having a whole lot to do in Infinity War, but we've been assured that the former Sentinel of Liberty will have a much larger role in Avengers 4.
Will he actually take up the mantle of Captain America again and lead the team against Thanos? That remains to be seen, but one thing we can expect for sure is that long-awaited reunion with Tony Stark.
Iron Man
We left Tony Stark on Titan, mourning the loss of Peter Parker (not to mention half the universe) - but Iron Man will be back in action for Avengers 4.
Set photos of a lighter-haired Stark seemingly garbed in S.H.I.E.L.D. gear have led to speculation that the film will be set several years after Infinity War, but that could be something to so with whatever time-travel or alternate universe elements that're rumored to be introduced.
Black Widow
Like Cap, Black Widow had a bit of a reduced role in Infinity War, but the lethal Avenger is expected to step things up for the next film.
Nat wasn't spotted with Banner, Cap, Thor and Iron Man in those mysterious Avengers 4 set photos, so there's a decent chance she'll have a different part to play in whatever plan the team devises to reverse Thanos' actions.
Thor
New weapon, new eye, new sense of purpose.
For many, Thor was the MVP of Infinity War, and he very nearly managed to bring down Thanos before he could snap his fingers. Will the fact that he just narrowly failed to do so play into his Avengers 4 arc, perhaps?
Hawkeye
After being absent from all marketing, fans had been been wondering what role Hawkeye would play in Infinity War, and the answer is very simple: He didn't. However, we know Jeremy Renner filmed scenes as Clint Barton for Avengers 4, so expect the archer to rejoin his old teammates in some capacity.
There's been a lot of speculation that Clint lost some/all of his family after the "SNAP", prompting him to return to action.
The Hulk/Bruce Banner
Bruce Banner ended up having a fairly substantial role in Infinity War, but the same can't be said for the "big green asshole" that shares his body.
Fans were disappointed that The Green Goliath didn't have a larger part in the film, but it does set up a triumphant return in Avengers 4. Hulk vs. Thanos round 2? Count on it.
Rocket Raccoon
Is Rocket set to become an honorary Avenger? Considering the "sweet rabbit" is the only member of the GOTG left (on earth, anyway), it's a safe bet.
It remains to be seen what role he'll actually play in the plot, but whatever happens, we're all hoping that he gives Darryl the boot and becomes Thor's new roommate.
Nebula
The other GOTG character left breathing at the end of Infinity War was Nebula, and there's clearly a very specific reason for that.
Will she actually join The Avengers? We'll have to wait and see, but expect her to have a hand in helping Stark return to earth, at the very least.
War Machine
Interestingly, Rhodey was the only non-original member of the team left at the end of Infinity War - though the character has been around since the very beginning in Iron Man 1.
How he'll factor in to the plot of Avengers 4 remains to be seen, but he could have something to so with getting Cap and co. back in Secretary Ross' good graces.
Wong
Wong only made a fleeting appearnce in Infinity War, but there's still a pretty good chance he'll show up in the next film.
After all, who better to try to figure out what Doctor Strange meant when he told Stark letting Thanos win was the "only way" to ultimately defeat him?
Ant-Man and The Wasp
Yes, Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne have been confirmed to suit-up with Earth's Mightiest Heroes for Avengers 4 - though we still have no idea what part they'll actually play in the story.
Hopefully, the events of the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp will provide a few answers.
Captain Marvel
And finally, we have Nick Fury's secret weapon.
All we know for now is that Carol Danvers was contacted by Fury when Thanos managed to complete his apocalyptic mission, so we're going to have to wait until the Captain Marvel solo adventure to get a better idea of what this mega-powerful hero has in store or us - and The Mad Titan!
