THR reports that The Russo Brothers-directed superhero flick has already notched up $47.5 million (RMB 302 million) in presales ahead of its premiere in Beijing this Friday, almost doubling the previous record of $25 million (RMB 158 million) set by Universal's Fate of the Furious.
China's biggest-earning superhero film to date is Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron, which took in $240 million. However, most analysts believe Infinity War should match or surpass that.
