The Russo Brothers Reveal Which X-MEN Character They Wanted In AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Unfortunately, the Disney/Fox deal is unlikely to be completed until next summer but Joe and Anthony Russo have revealed which A-List X-Men character they wish could have joined the fight against Thanos.

Disney is in the process of acquiring 20th Century Fox but with the deal unlikely to be finalised until next summer, we're not going to see the X-Men arrive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers 4

That's a shame but possibly for the best, especially as there's already enough happening in that and Avengers: Infinity War without throwing new mutants into the mix. However, Joe and Anthony Russo have clearly been giving the X-Men some thought because they've now revealed which character they would have added to the roster of The Avengers or Guardians to take on Thanos had it been possible.

Joe immediately made it clear that "it would probably be Wolverine" before Anthony added: "Yeah, maybe one day." It's not clear what the future holds in store for the Russos after Avengers 4 is released but assuming they remain in the MCU, we could very well see the filmmakers take charge of an X-Men or Fantastic Four movie in order to ensure that the quality of their adventures greatly improves.

Which X-Men character would you choose to put in Avengers: Infinity War if you had the chance?

Wolverine makes sense, he is a part time avenger after all.

@Toffee - Wolverine is the man, but they should bring him in slow. I’d like to see Beast apart of The Avengers...and he was also a member of The Illuminati.

Either the Russo Brothers or Joss Whedon should at least do the first X Men movie

Josh Wilding still making articles out of 5 words. Very impressive. I think his record still is in an old Infinity War article, where the only quote in the article was "We'll see." Not even joking.

"Will Olivia Munn be reprising her role as Psylocke in the MCU when the deal goes through? Find out after the jump!"
- "I don't know." Olivia Munn.
"There you go, folks! She doesn't know!"

Josh "Made you click, dumbass!" Wilding.

@Asturgis - Next on Josh's news:

"Why was Robert Downey jr. at the doctors? Find out after the jump!"
- "I had a huge migrane after reading one of Josh's articles!" RDJ
"There you go, folks! I give RDJ migrane!"
