It's okay but how does this give Banner more development?

Just waiting for the extended cut!

I see why it was taken out. As a scene, it may look good. But inserted in the film, it may cause the film to drag when it's supposed to be speeding up for the finale. If the scene were a little faster-paced and had a sense of urgency in it, it might've stayed. But the way it is, no. It makes sense why it didn't make the cut. Hope they give Blu-Ray buyers an extended edition option!!! :D

The scene that made the cut was better than this version. Much funnier IMO.

Some lovely dialogue in that little snippet, a few words saying quite a lot.

Cipher- yeah i guess. I would've rather preferred them show at least how he reaches the team in time

There will never be an extended or Director's cut. Whedon has stated before that his original cut was too "self-indulgent", so a worse cut of the film is unnecessary. Just give me all the deleted scenes and I'll be good!

Ya it's a good scene but it makes sense that they cut that out of the movie cause how the hell would he have known to go to stark towers? Only thing I can think of was the conversation about his building while they were on the heli carrier.

@ RedHood
I would like to think he learned to control his powers at the end of TIH. Remember Norton's Banner was doing the breathing exercises & Hulked out as it cut to he credits. Seeing that The Avengers took place a year after his last Hulk-out, it's plausible he learned to control it within that time.

loved it...Bruce's confusion and apprehension, the funny old dude spouting pithy words of wisdom. Listen to your elders, they'll drop some knowledge on ya!

@redhood, at the end of tih he learned to control it,same with the "that's my secret, im always angry" scene. He can become the hulk when he wants, He could not control it on the hellicarrier because loki had him under his control

How would he know to go to Stark Tower, you ask? Well, he's a scientist, he's intelligent, and reason would dictate that if he wanted to help, he'd go to Stark Tower... Banner and Stark were alike, they enjoyed each others company even though their relationship was rocky, where else would he go? It's not like he can go find the Helicarrier. If he didn't want to help, he'd go anywhere else.... that was the decision he was struggling to make.
Whedon's script was intelligent in that the characters did not waste a lot of time agonizing over the obvious. They debated and bickered, but when it came time for action, they did the right thing because that's who and what they are. Even Banner, with a monster inside him capable of destroying anything in its way, used his superior intellect to narrow down the options and decided on the right course to take. The scene was cut because it was unnecessary to explain Banner; even without the comments of the security guard, Banner would have done the right thing, so the scene was not needed.
But a scene between them with the guard giving him his motorcycle would have been nice... and could have been funny too.

"Do you have a car I can borrow?

"Nope. Got a bike."

"A motorcycle?

"NO, a 10 speed! Of course it's a motorcyle! It's for riding around the properties I guard. I'll let ya use it, but if you get a flat tire, don't go turning all green and throwing it in the river ... I want it back!"

During the big battle scene, the bike gets crushed by debris, and Hulk sees that and gives an annoyed grunt with a sorry expression on his face... would have worked, I think.

@ Tea you the man. LOL

Ok. Yeah I always buy the non special edition without the extended scenes. Good scene but see why it was cut(pacing)

Ruffola stole the show in my opinion. Can't wait to own this film and watch it while trippin balls. Is there any better way to enjoy a movie.

Well, it's not like Banner coulda said "I need to head on back to the big military style fortress floating in the sky." It makes sense that Banner would seek out Tony at ST since they bonded the most and Tony basically invited him there earlier.

I hope they cut it because they [frick]ed up that stage direction at the beginning. ;)
