In yet another interview with the Radio Times magazine, veteran actress Jenny Agutter, whose previous and likely misquoted interview resurrected the foolish rumor that Spider-Man will appear in Marvel's The Avengers movie, now discussed her experience on-set of the highly-anticipated movie, after being asked was ever star-struck. Portraying a 'Council Member,' read Agutter's unusual comments below.

“It made me laugh. It was so bizarre being on this big set in Santa Fe. I said as much to the director Joss Whedon and he whispered, “Shhh, I’m trying to appear cool.” Samuel L Jackson was lovely, so professional.

Scarlett Johansson looked sad, so lonely, sitting on the steps of her Winnebago. One wanted to go and give her a hug and I thought, “You can’t because you just don’t know her.”

From this interview, we can better imagine who her "Council Member" role will interact with in the film. Be sure to check out the full interview with The Radio Times as Jenny Agutter also shares her TV pleasures among other things. You can see Jenny in Call the Midwife, tonight on BBC1 at 8pm.

I'd go over and hug scarlett. Then I'd make her pancakes to cheer her up. Then, only then, I would respect the [frick] out of her.

@Morty Dude. Have some type of respect. I know you're behind a screen saying this, so you're care-less, but people do read these comments.

She started nothing. The article misquoted her. It's not her fault fanboys, who just happen to run big sites, ran numerous articles on a misquote...unable to accept the fact that Spider-Man is NOT in this movie.

@Morty Blame the others for actually believe it...even if they were only hit-whoring.

Other than the source, I was the first to run the article. I purposely ignored the "Spider-Man" comment because it was an obvious mistake. Everyone should have done the same.

@Super17: "I hope she at least has the Russian accent this time around"

Yeah, because I'm sure all spies who are trained to infiltrate foreign countries give themselves away so easily...

Do you think Bond speaks Russian with an English accent? No - he speaks Russian like a native.

So why would a Russian spy speaking English have a Russian accent? Answer - they wouldn't - they'd speak English like a native of whatever country they're operating in.

Try thinking before typing ffs.

She's always had the accent. And who the [frick] does she have to hide from? If it weren't for her last name, I wouldn't have known she had Russian heritage.

KeithM
KeithM - 2/5/2012, 1:36 PM
@Tea: I disagree - hiding or not, if she was trained even half-decently, she would have learnt to speak English without an accent at all. It's not a matter of hiding her Russian accent - she wouldn't have one. At all. Unless she's speaking Russian of course.

Again, think Bond - did he learn Russian and THEN learn afterwards to use a Russian accent or did he simply learn to speak Russian properly right from the start? Obvious really.
Supes17
Supes17 - 2/5/2012, 2:28 PM
Like teabag said, the character's meant to have an accent.. She just can't pull it off.
Now, if they could find a sexy chick
with Christina Hendricks' rack and a Russian accent,
then the Avengers would be even more magical
KeithM
KeithM - 2/5/2012, 2:57 PM
@Tea: Yeah but you (and Marvel if they give her an accent in the comics) are wrong. :p

Seriously though (but not really), think about it: What kind of shit spy can't learn to speak a language without an accent?

See - this is why comics are silly. ;)
