Mark Ruffalo Responds To Jason Statham's MARVEL Comments; "He's Got Nothing On Me!"

Despite apparently being in the running to play Bullseye in the second season of Daredevil, Jason Statham recently slammed Marvel action scenes by saying that they weren't authentic. Avengers: Age of Ultron star Mark Ruffalo has responded, and he reckons he can take The Stath down...

Jason Statham is very much an old school action star. He does his own stunts and fight scenes, and takes pride in being known as the kind of guy you most definitely wouldn't want to piss off. The majority of movies these days - superhero ones for example - obviously rely heavily on special effects and stunt doubles, and it turns out that the British actor isn't remotely impressed by that. In fact, he believes his grandma could be made to look like a real ass kicker in a Marvel movie!

Needless to say, his comments generated a lot of controversy online (as everything anyone says these days seems to), and Mark Ruffalo is the first actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to respond. Talking to Vulture at the premiere of Infinitely Polar Bear, the Avengers star was asked if he thinks he's as tough as Statham. "I mean, do you really need to ask that question? It's Jason Statham," he joked. "He's like a featherweight. He's got nothing on me! Clearly." It's on!
