Well obviously Captain America would win.

Pretty sure he put down the Hulk in hand-to-hand combat in The Ultimates.

I love the Incredible Hulk movie but it didnt show how powerful he is like the Thor movie did for Thor. So based on those two movies I would think Thor would win but we havent seen how powerful the Hulk can be yet.

Black Widow didn't win? Really? But she has all those... High kicks and... distracting wardrobe and... she's so hot! I don't think this poll was very scientific.

I don't understand this poll - All of the HAVE fought before - just look at their track record.

Though it depends on which Hulk you're talking about - In certain versions, his strength is only limited by how angry he gets - His strength is potentially unlimited.
MediaMan
MediaMan - 8/26/2011, 11:47 AM
There's no way. As I commented during the voting, Stan Lee himself told the Washington Post a few years back Thor would win.

And if you go just by the movie versions, Thor is clearly stronger. He beat the Frost Giants and the Destroyer (too easily, IMHO), while the Hulk doesn't seem to be as strong in the movies (so far, anyway) as the comics.

Doesn't matter. Go by either the earliest (best) Marvels, or the movies, and Thor wins.

animeex - 8/26/2011, 11:48 AM
Thor! Hulk is the bomb and strong but it's rage and pure swinging at times. Why is it that Thor's strength is there and the Hulk's gets stronger and stronger. If Thor can start out at (at one time anyway) was class 100 and Hulk gets to that as he gets madder, wouldn't it be safe to say Thor could put him down if he doesn't hold back before Hulk gets stronger and prolongs the fight? Also, why doesn't the fact that Thor has fought for what, years or centuries and has no more knowledge of fighting or no more combat skill than the Hulk? Don't get me wrong, Hulk is awesome and I love it when these two go at it and hope in the movie they do... But I still would say Thor.

And loves to win them, too...
odie00
odie00 - 8/26/2011, 12:26 PM
i'd say hulk and then thor. thor is pretty power on his on but a lot of that comes from his hammer. as to the hulk is just raw strength all around. and depending on which story arc you go by he gets bigger and stronger then angrier he gets. and he was ripping up the avengers all on his own in the ultimate avengers so captain america wouldnt do crap to him, i think its ridiculous how he can keep up with him when thor has trouble with the hulk and all captain america has is his sheild (which does mess stuff up) but hes only at the peak of human physical condition so i think hes able to lift over 1000 pounds and what not.

wow pretty close! Hulk usally does some out on top of those battles tho.

@Spock:...hells yes!! a Gladiator-Hulk fight would be soooo epic!!!...not sure who i would pick in that one. might be too close to call
SageMode
SageMode - 8/26/2011, 1:24 PM
@Spock: Well actually, Gladiator did lose to Cannonball. He just used Gladiator own confidence against him. I forgot what issue of the X-Men it was in, but Joe Mad was the artist for that issue.

Said it before, I'll say it again:

Thor could kill the Hulk if he felt like it without even leaving Asgard.

Incidentally, Marvel itself answered this question several years ago. They put out a Compendium (or something) which had an index/rating of the powers of every one of their heroes, and Thor was rated #1. Forget where the Hulk was, but I'm sure he was very high.

punisherftw - 8/26/2011, 2:17 PM
@themayor88
The Hulk defeated Gladiator before, I can't remember the issue. It was during the late 90's right after the Onslaught saga.

And for everyone who thinks Thor could beat Hulk. Check out Fear Itself issue #5.

Thor to Hulk:
"You know, I could never beat you."

Hulk:
"I knew."
MediaMan

Who cares what yet another (yawn) post-Silver Age writer says in Boredom Itself?

Stan Lee says Thor. Marvel says Thor. The end.
