Many thanks to Amazing Comics for the video.

This year at the International Comic Book Festival of Angoulême, a pavilion chiefly dedicated to Manga, Marvel was also represented in this space through an exposition entitled “Avengers” which was dedicated to Ryan Meinerding, an american concept artist (‘Iron Man’, ‘Thor’, ‘Captain America’, ‘Avengers').

An assistant to Ryan explained “Each work is the result of around 2 to 3 days of work, but their main feature is that the artist painted all of them directly in Photoshop. The fact that they are printed on canvases gives them a physical dimension and makes them real paintings. All of the prints are unique and will be for sale during their exhibit at the Galerie Arludik in Paris, which begins on March 15, 2012. Ryan Meinerding will be in attendance for the opening! The works will be on sale for between 700 to 3,000 euros.”

Here's Meinerding's bio from the art show:
"A true artistic new icon in Hollywood, Ryan Meinerding was born in the northwest suburb of Ohio, and became an airbrusher during his adolescence. He enrolled at the Art Center College of Design where he studied industrial design. During his studies, he won his first job collaborating on video games 'Seven Sorrows' and 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein'. He left his studies during the last semester, when offered the opportunity to work alongside one of the idols, Ian McCaig, artistic designer on the films Star Wars episodes 1,2 and 3 who created Darth Maul. He collaborated with McCaig on an early version of John Carter of Mars, which was to be directed by John Favreau, who subsequently invited him to participate in the artistic creation of the Iron Man armor in the titular movie. Ryan then went on to design the costumes for the films Watchmen and designs robots on Transformers 2, before returning to work on all the movies from Marvel Studios. He led the creation of the characters in Iron Man 2, oversaw the creation of costumes and sets on Thor, and developed all the costumes for the hero in Captain America: First Avenger with Charlie Wen. He and Wen led a team of concept artist on The Avengers as well. He currently heads the artistic creation of the movie Iron Man 3, for which he designed new armor and characters.

The Avengers is an upcoming American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is the sixth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is written and directed by Joss Whedon and features an ensemble cast, which includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson. In The Avengers, Nick Fury, director of the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D., recruits Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America to save the world from destruction.

Development of The Avengers began when Marvel Studios received a grant from Merrill Lynch in April 2005. After the success of the film Iron Man in May 2008, Marvel announced that The Avengers would be released in July 2011. With the signing of Scarlett Johansson in March 2009, the film was pushed back for a 2012 release. Whedon was brought on board in April 2010 and rewrote the screenplay that was originally written by Zak Penn. Production began in April 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before moving to Cleveland, Ohio in August 2011 and New York City in September 2011. The film was converted to 3D in post-production.

The Avengers is scheduled for release on May 4, 2012 in the United States in 2D and 3D.
