Suh-weeeet! I can definitely agree with the nominations for The Avengers (especially with what they've done with Hulk), but I wish I could say the same for The Hobbit. Mainly because I haven't seen it yet ([frick]ing bummer, really). Still, I have no doubts that it's an an amazing movie, overall. I'm hoping that the "Hulk Punch" wins the Outstanding Composite in a Feature Motion Picture category, 'cause that was one of Hulk define moments in the film. :)

i would love to see either the avengers or the hobbit win awards for their cgi effects.

especially the avengers for the hulk,thst was the first time the hulk was portrayed correctly in a live action movie or tv show.

it looked like he came straight out of a comic book.

@Sage - I hope so as well, dude. They deserve a standing ovation for their hard work, skills, and efforts for bringing the perfect Hulk onscreen. Here's to a TIH sequel in the near future!

I think my favorite, defining Hulk moment in The Avengers has to be between either him smiling at Cap when he mentions the word "smash," his famous "Hulk Punch," or him beating the living cr@p outta Loki and says "Puny god." So hard to choose 'cause they were so entertaining to watch. :)

@TheAmazingSpidey63: Let's hope that that news that Ruffalo hinted about with Whedon has moments that are just as good as, if not better than, that. ;) BRING ON TIH 2!

All of the are well-deserved. And seeing The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in HFR 3D, I really want the movie to win all of the awards...well, yeah. Although Life of Pi's "Ocean," "Storm of God," and let's not forget Richard Parker deserve them, too. And The Avengers? This is really tough to decide, as the nominations are all great. The Hulk and Manhattan for this one, I think. I don't know. I really can't decide - 2012 was really stunning. But those three movies are my contenders, and I'll be happy if either wins.

I need to re-watch the Hobbit. As a Tolkien fanatic I feel kinda guilty of not liking it that much. It was average, I'm sad to say.

Oh, and seeing The Dark Knight Rises' Behind-The-Scenes video for the airplane heist, I actually think it also deserves it. Man, I really can't tell.

@Fogs, @monkeyballs, and @ToTheManInTheColdSweat - Was it that decent? I mean, I'm planning on going to it, and want to make sure it's worth my money (which I do hope it is). So far from trailers and clips from the film, it looks promising and very entertaining.

@TheAmazingSpidey63

It is good movie, but i grew up on tolkein and read The Hobbit back to back over and over again as a child. IMHO, i think Jackson failed by stretching out a 300 page story into a trilogy. So many unnecessary scenes and a dragged out story BUT it is a good movie nonetheless. Seen it 3 times, I'll give it a "B" and that's being very generous.

TheAmazingSpidey63 - 1/7/2013, 10:08 AM
@ToTheManInTheColdSweat and @monkeyballs3 - Thanks for that, fellas. I, too, grew up on Tolkien's story and the film, so I was uber excited for The Hobbit coming out. I thought that them making a trilogy of The Hobbit would be great 'cause then they would go into more of the story and characters. But, ehhh, now I'm not so sure. With the pacing/dragging, unnecessary scenes problems you guys addressed, I'm starting to think twice about their decision of a Hobbit trilogy. I don't know. But I'll still go and see it. :)
