Following the launch of their 30-second TV spot and SHIELD Ops microsite, Acura, the official vehicle of S.H.I.E.L.D., has further showcased marketing in anticipation for Marvel's The Avengers movie. Revealing an on-set image of the militarized S.H.I.E.L.D.-Edition MDX aboard the helicarrier, and displaying it at the 2012 New York Auto Show in addition to Tony Stark's customized NSX Concept car, check out images below!
“Acura is developing an impressive second chapter as the official vehicle of the cutting-edge S.H.I.E.L.D. organization, enabling us to reinforce Acura’s brand philosophy of innovation and advancement, and leverage excitement for the new ILX, RDX and NSX supercar concept product news announced earlier this year,” says Acura Brand Manager. On April 11 at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, a surprise special stunt is planned to make an impactful, red-carpet entrance. A fleet of Acura vehicles will also be used as talent transportation during the premiere.
Although many sponsors that Marvel Studios partnered with for previous movies are returning for this year's big-screen outing, it seems 7-Eleven may not be supplying collectible slurpee cups this time around. However, showcasing a partnership with a well-known service station overseas in the Philippines, Petron Corporation will be offering something fairly similar; limited edition action tumblers!

Habib has taken over for Burger King, who last partnered with Marvel Studios for
Thor. Cooking up a 200g beef burger patty given the name "Avenger", and offering an assortment of goodies, including models, DVDs and metallic glasses, check out two Brazilian television ads and promotional photos below!
