Will Supernatural Actor Mark Sheppard Appear In The Avengers?

Based heavily on his sly response, Supernatural actor Mark Sheppard was recently asked (again) whether he'd be re-teaming with Joss Whedon, and appearing in The Avengers.

At last year's San Diego Comic-Con, Clique Clack caught up with Supernatural actor Mark Sheppard, where they asked whether he'd be re-teaming with his Firefly & Dollhouse director, Joss Whedon, being that hes helming the assembly of The Avengers. And Sheppard responded by only revealing his interest to do so. However, at this year's SDCC, when asked again, his sly response hinted at the possibility prospering. While it could be looked too much into, watch the very end of the video interview below.

If true, the role could evidently be minor, though with the casting of actress Amanda Righetti as a "SHIELD Agent," and the secondary villains anonymous, who knows. Sheppard has appeared on several TV shows, including Chuck & Battlestar Galactica.

Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki Laufeyson), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!
