BATMAN: THE LONG HALLOWEEN, PART ONE Clip Features Jensen Ackles' Caped Crusader Racing Through Gotham

The latest clip from Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One once again puts the spotlight on Jensen Ackles' Dark Knight, and this action-packed sequence follows the hero as he races through the mean streets of Gotham City in the Batmobile. As you might expect, he has Alfred Pennyworth lending a helping hand, and it's clear that this version of Batman is definitely one cool customer.

It's going to be very interesting to see (hear?) what the Supernatural alum brings to the iconic role, and given how popular his take on the Red Hood was, we have a feeling Ackles will be embraced by fans.

As for the Batmobile, it's a cool design and one that nicely pays homage to the comic books.

Inspired by the classic story from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One begins as a brutal murder on Halloween prompts Gotham's young vigilante, the Batman, to form a pact with the city's only two uncorrupt lawmen (Police Captain James Gordan and District Attorney Harvey Dent) in order to take down The Roman, head of the notorious Falcone Crime Family.

However, when more deaths occur on Thanksgiving and Christmas, it becomes clear that instead of ordinary gang violence, they're also dealing with a serial killer - the identity of whom, with each conflicting clue, grows harder to discern. Few cases have ever tested the wits of the World's Greatest Detective like the mystery behind the Holiday Killer.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, the all-new feature-length Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One arrives on Digital & Blu-ray on June 22, 2021.

Never happens in the book. This shouldn't even be called The Long Halloween. They could have just wrote an original story.

I'm not sure this story works so good without Tim Sale's visual style.

Didn't realise that it's not set in the present day. Cool.

It’s so weird to me when they change these stories so much from the original. HUSH for example, was terrible. I kinda understand why they change the art style, but it’s like they want to do fan service and yet they don’t want the fans to know the ending or something. Very bizarre.

@Saintsinnister - Well Hush is a pretty overrated story anyway. There isnt much of a real mystery. Obviously its the guy just introduced in the story. Although supposibly Hush in the comic was originally intended to be Jason with Tommy Elliot being a red herring

Excited for this but not gonna lie, wasn't feeling the animation with this clip; particularly the car stuff. Was that supposed to be a chase?

Plot twist: Batman is really Jason Todd.

Jensen Ackles seems really good fit for Batman. One of the better voices I've heard in the role for a while.

The Animation doesn't look anything like Tim Sale but it's still really nice (certainly better than anything from the New 52 movies)

Jensen ackilles is the new Kevin Conroy ...sounds alot like em anyway. This looks like an update of the Batman animated series from the 90s.
