In Year One, a young Bruce Wayne is first starting out as a costumed vigilante. He creates an early bond with Lieutenant James Gordon, whose importance in the tale makes it as much as Gordon's story as Wayne's.

Batman: Year One is set to be released later this year!

I only skimmed through because I don't like seeing too much beforehand, but this looks like another brilliant film from DC.
Their animated films are just excellent.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY

Dude have some respect no one buys other characters but they go crazy for Batman and Superman movies. PG 13 animated dvds are niche enough as it is WB won't take a chance on a lesser known character who they will lose money on.

I don't like Batman's voice in this but I'm pretty sure this will kick some major ass. I have nothing against animated flicks but these kind of stories need bigger treatment. They need to be live action. I just hope they will adapt TDK Returns with Snyder when they are done with Nolan's films.

I can't wait for this movie...loved the original Miller masterpiece...ben's voice doesn't quite sound right at this point but then again no one was happy when Bruce Greenwood was announced for Batman: Under the Red Hood...and I think he nailed it...I do think Bruce Greenwood is our modern Conroy though as far as the voice we will hear more commonly in animated projects...he's great on Young Justice...

Its so funny, all I heard was everyone wanting and wishing and hoping for DC to make animated movies outta Batman: Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, Knightfall and so on. Now that they making them, it's "No more Batman", "Why won't DC use their other characters"....sick of it.

That was pretty sweet! As for batman/Bruce's Voice I dont have a problem with it so much. He sounds young just like batman is in the story. Bryan Cranston as Gordon was great casting imo. Love him in breaking bad.

@AlReg-Check out Emerald Knights. Might change your mind about them being able to use characters other than Bats and Supes. Great flick! But I guess you're right, it will depend on how it sells wheather or not we contine to see more DC heroes receive animated films.

Year One looks like it should be awesome.

in my opinio they shud make a green arrow animated flick based loosely on the year one story arc that came out in 2007.
