I do not like his answer for the second question. Makes me very nervous for the film.

Nice interview. There was some pretty informative stuff when he tlked about Bruce missing out on some of the things that make life worth living.

"I love the character so much that if it was left to me you’d get a very bizarre Batman movie."

I wanna see that shit! lol

THIS IS THE END OF THE NOLAN BATMAN, ITS GOING TO BE REALLY GOOD. NOLAN DOESNT DO MOVIES UNLESS HE KNOWS HE CAN DELIVER. MY QUESTION IS, WHEN HE'S DONE, WHAT DIRECTION WILL THEY TAKE THE FRANCHISE? THE SAME ROUTE OR TOTALLY DIFFERENT?
Greengo
Greengo - 8/27/2011, 8:15 AM
@Gunsmith: I just hope they change his costume from the traditional movie black.

The other batman movies must continue from this one, no more origin stories.

I don't really know what you guys are talking about. IMO he does not sound confident at all. Especially when they ask about how he feels doing another movie with Nolan and all the hype and he says he had no choice because of his contract.

so is he saying Batmans getting older and is slowing down? this is sounding more and more like Knightfall

BooYah: While at the Oscars he said how excited he was to do a third film and that he couldn't wait. He's also said he'd be open to do more than just one more.
I don't think they needed to hold a gun to Bale's head to get him on board. He has been ready and willing from the get go. Like he said Chris has always talked about this being a trilogy.
I'm also glad that he acknowledges that often 3rd films have failed. To me that means they are aware of the challenges and are prepared for them.

They could very well use this trilogy as an explanation for Bruce taking Dick Grayson in and eventually allowing him to become Robin. Batman sees that fighting Bane and being injured so badly before could have been avoided if he had a partner, while as Bruce Wayne he witnesses The Death of The Flying Graysons right before his eyes, essentially watching firsthand another child go through exactly what he did. Basically a rip off of Batman Forever I guess now that I think about it, but hey; at least they got something right in that film maybe (the story, not that part of the movie).

I actually don't mind the new Nightwing costume in the comics either, which is a direct nod to the Batman and Robin movie.

the fights suck in the previous batman films because of the lack of movement he gets from the outfit,so i'm not expecting too much from this.

@Greengo- oh I've never seen that interview I was just worried that he's only doing this cause he has too. Good to know he's excited about this because I remember how excited he was for the 2nd.

If any character gets an origin it should be either Robin or Oracle.

I really enjoyed what he said about a fight needing a story to be interesting.
Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 8/27/2011, 9:18 AM
The main reason why I love Nolan's Batman movies so much is the depth that is brought to the characters and I think Bale describe some of that depth perfectly in his response to some of these questions.
Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 8/27/2011, 9:20 AM
RunDTC, where did you think he sounded bored? He went into great length with a lot of his answers here, doesn't seem like something someone who was bored would do.
DarthTesla

I'm glad he really elaborated on a few things, instead of being too hush-hush on minor details.

I too will miss him as Batman when this is over.

@moviemaster no, i think he just meant it like who Bruce had in his life throughout the series, not just in this film. Rachel's dead, so now it's just Alfred.

i like how he's only just getting around to doing interviews - since everyone on this site is so awesome at posting news i see a lot of actors and actresses repeating what they said in previous interviews like ryan reynolds comparing green lantern to han solo and chuck yeager - ALL. THE. TIME

Bale is my favorite actor, and his confidence in this movie, in Nolan, and his passion for the role are just three more reasons why this movie will be amazing.

i really hope they move on with real batman stories straight from the comics after this. i wanna see red hood, returns, and most of all arkham (from the game). now arkham would sell like hot cakes.
