Jim Lee is still a [frick]in master.

J. Scott Campbell and Capullo are also very, very good still.

JRJR... what the hell happened to him...? Makes me sad cause he was one of my fav artists back then.

There are so many good variants for this. Seriously I may buy multiple issues just to get some of the variants which I rarely do.

Capullo's. That's the one I need. If for no other reason, just because Supes is getting his face kicked in.

Greg Capullo's cover kick's me in the face, not just Supes.

Jim Lee's cover looking perfect as always.

Lots of hate or Carrie Kelley, on here. I've seen this hate for Carrie Kelley grow as the current generation has grown. It's dumb.
The logic seems to be that there are better Robins (which there are)n and that she's only Robin in one comic (which she is). But that one comic just happens to be The fvcking Dark Knight. And this new generation just does not get the Dark Knight. They weren't there.
I'm not saying that you can't "get" or love Dark Knight if you're young or even that absolutely everyone who read Dark Knight way back when is a fan of vthe book. Of course there are people who didn't like Dar Knight at the time. And there are tons of people who are just discovering the book, today, who love it just as passionately as anyone else. But generally speaking, Carrie Kelley haters are just youngsters who simply don't get it.

As for the actual book, who are "The Master Race"? Are they the children of Superman and Wonder Woman? We already saw Princess Lara Kal-El of Themyscira, in DK2 and got a hint at a son, towards the end of it. I'm guessing they've been procreating a bit and there will be an army of totalitarian super-children taking over the planet with Bruce Wayne, Carrie Kelley and their army at the forefront of the revolution.

As I've stated in the past, they've done phenomenal work with these covers. My problem is with the interior artwork. It looks far too polished and modern. It lacks the gritty, dirty look of previous installments (TDKR, YEAR ONE, and even TDKSA). ALL STAR BATMAN & ROBIN aside, this looks nothing like a Frank Miller Batman story.

Dark Knight Returns is the single most overrated comic. It's basically deathwish or some other anti youth racist fascist sky is falling conservative 80s narrative jammed into a Batman comic. What I got out of that comic was that Frank Miller was not that bright, and really crazy.
