Forget The Joker; Batman Battles IT's Pennywise The Clown In This Fan-Made Trailer

The Joker may be the Dark Knight's greatest enemy but this fan-made trailer pits Batman against Pennywise the Clown in a confrontation you have to believe might be too much for even the Caped Crusader...

Batman has plenty of experience squaring off with killer clowns but it's fair to say he's never met one quite like Pennywise from Stephen King's IT. What would that confrontation look like? Well, this fan-made trailer imagines what would be an undeniably epic battle between the two as footage from IT is mixed with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to create what would obviously be quite the movie!

So, what's the premise of Batman v IT? Well, after tangling with The Losers Club, Pennywise sets his sights on Gotham City and has now started haunting the dreams of billionaire and retired crimefighter Bruce Wayne. However, he's going to take the fight to the monster by suiting up as the Dark Knight!

While Batman and Pennywise may call the same studio home in the form of Warner Bros., we can forget these two crossing paths for real in the near future. Despite that, the iconic DC Comics superhero will return to fight Darkseid in Justice League later this year and Pennywise will return to square off with Stuttering Bill and company in the now dated IT: Chapter Two. Who would you place money on if these two were to cross paths, though? Let us know in the comments section down below.

@KingCipher - Honestly I would love to see either Dan Stevens (Legion) or Tom pelphry (Ward from ‘Iron Fist’) take on the role. Both are lanky, nailed their ‘mental fragility’ moments, and can be very intimidating when the role calls for it. Plus Ward reminds me of a young Willam DeFoe, who I always thought would be an amazing Joker.

@blackandyellow - it was badass. And I liked how it wasn't a lot of choppy scenes like some fan films. It's crazy how many scenes from BvS worked well into this

As good as Skarsgard is as Pennywise I think its silly that people want him as the joker. He's obviously a good actor, why typecast him as a creepy clown? I personally would like to see him play someone like Adam Warlock or The Riddler than the joker.

My gawd Leto needs a shot at redemption for his/Ayer's Joker. I believe he can crush it, but he needs proper direction. Ayer was too caught up with gritty street aesthetic and cholos.

The problem with Leto is twofold...First his gangster look is of course over the top...second and more importantly is that he and WB think Joker is actually crazy. He is not. If you watch the Heath Ledger version...he says and looks like he is crazy but what he does is not crazy at all and is sometimes brilliant. That is the problem...Leto thinks if he does crazy things then that makes him the Joker. That translated into various into the mie itself including

1) Getting Harley to jump into a vat to 'change' her
2) Lying on the ground with different knives carefully placed around him
3) killing Common's character just because he liked Harley
4) electrocuting Dr. Quinzel...

...none of these things makes any sense and has no purpose. When Ledger's Joker wanted to turn Dent...he did not throw him into a vat...he appealed to the psychological triggers that were important to him. When Leto understands this then he could be a good Joker!

My personal opinion on the joker (since I haven't seen Suicide Squad), the actor should be tall, 5' 11" - 6' 1", and the director should use prosthetics to enlongate the nose and chin. A mix between the late 70s/early 80s and Joker from Hush. Just my thoughts

If they ever did a crossover like this I would like to see it in graphic novel form before they made a film. Of course, Stephen King should get first dibs on writing the graphic novel.

... and the Joker should be in the story too.

SS was okay but Jared's Joker looked like he was jacked up on something. Nicholson and Leader's take on him were spot on. Ayers wanted to make a film like Deadpool which was funny and had action. SS just had bad direction.
