JOKER: Check Out Some Photos From The Green Carpet World Premiere Of The DC Comics Movie

There's a lot of controversy surrounding Joker but following last night's world premiere, Warner Bros. has released a slew of images from the green carpet event. Check them out after the jump...

With so much discussion surrounding Joker's controversial story and the fact there are very real concerns that it will inspire some sort of attack or mass shooting, Warner Bros. made the decision to ban press from last night's green carpet in Los Angeles. Instead, only photographers were allowed to participate in order to avoid any further questions on the matter being put to the cast.

Now, some photos from the event have been released and pretty much the entire cast was in attendance, including Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Marc Maron, Leigh Gill, Glenn Fleshler, Josh Pais, Brett Cullen, and Frances Conroy. Robert De Niro, meanwhile, was absent (presumably due to scheduling issues).

Joker is currently tracking for a North American debut of $100 million which is the biggest opening ever for a movie which comes out in October. While there's been a lot of talk about increased security, it doesn't appear as if that's going to have too much of an impact on the amount of people turning out to watch it this coming weekend. Time will tell on that front, though.
