JOKER Director Shares Another Image Of Star Joaquin Phoenix - This Time In Full Clown Costume
In what appears to be another attempt to beat the paparazzi to the punch, Joker director Todd Philips has shared a new BTS photo of Joaquin Phoenix as The Clown Prince of Crime... emphasis on the clown.
As filming continues on Todd Philips' mysterious Joker origin film, the director has shared another behind-the-scenes photo to Instagram.
We know Joaquin Phoenix's take on the iconic Batman villain will be sporting far more clownish facepaint than we were expecting, but it seems he'll also be donning a full clown costume at some point in the film.
There's speculation that the plot will take influence from Alan Moore's The Killing Joke in its re-imagining of The Joker as a failed stand-up comedian who has "one bad day" that pushes him over the edge, and these follow-up photos of Arthur Fleck having a meltdown after a phonecall might just back that up:
