As promised, the first teaser trailer for
Joker is here and it definitely appears as if Warner Bros. is taking the Clown Prince of Crime down a very unusual route for this origin story.
Running a full two and a half minutes, the sneak peek sheds a lot of light on what leads to Arthur Fleck's descent into madness and it's clear that Joaquin Phoenix is giving it his all here, as he looks genuinely terrifying and appears to have lost a lot of weight in order to make his version of the iconic Batman villain as haunting as possible.
There are a lot of intriguing shots here, including what appears to be a meeting between The Joker and a young Bruce Wayne. Honestly, despite all those rumours, it seems we may not know as much about this one as we thought!
