Todd Phillips' Joker is now available to purchase on DVD and Blu-ray, and the timing couldn't be better, as the controversial film picked up several Golden Globe wins and BAFTA nominations this past week.

To mark the movie's home release, Warner Bros. has shared a brief snippet from one of the behind-the-scenes featurettes that'll be included in the disc's bonus content. The video finds Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix commenting on what they believe the other brought to the production.

Phoenix took home the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture earlier this week, while composer Hildur Guðnadóttir won the award for her superb, haunting score, becoming only the second woman to ever win Best Original Score at the Golden Globes, and the first to win solo.

Check out a full list of the winners below, and let us know if you plan on picking up Joker on Blu-ray.

Got my copy the other day, honestly seeing how Juaquin acted on set, his body language, him giving so many different takes of certain scenes, including his walk onto the Murray set is very interesting and I love it.

He has become my best actor favorite this year.

My favorite song from the soundtrack playing in the background. Hildur deserved the win, as did Joaquin.

Phoenix definitely enjoyed putting regular weight back on . Probably had a hell of cheat meal once filming was done.

@BlackBeltJones - If I were an actor Lord knows I'd probably never take roles like these. I'm not even a heavy eater or anything but I love food way too much to ever torture myself to shrink to that kind of weight. The dedication guys like Phoenix and Bale have scare me sometimes.

@Necropolitan - Food is too heavenly. I've done the intermittent fast here and there when cutting and that's rough.

There's an almost an athlete's dedication to it with these guys. I'm sure they have people consulting them on how to do it in as healthy a way as possible; I would hope so.

@Necropolitan @blackbeltjones- i'm in really decent shape per my genetics so i don't have to watch what i eat unless i'm Mickey'ds everyday .... what those are doing is technically not healthy long run wise tho , no they aren't athlete's but those drastic changes in weight take a toll for real ... i commend them for effort in the craft but Bale is the biggest offender ... i'm surprised he still half sane

@knocturnalzen10 - I think Bale recently said his doctor told him he has to stop with the radical weight changes as he gets older.

@BlackBeltJones - i bet , i create work plans for people at work for side hustle sometimes and with women it's always the same "i want to drop 30-65 or more " and i have to always advise that's not realistic nor is it healthy for that type of drastic drop in short periods of time , not even including skin issues :/ .
