JOKER Star Joaquin Phoenix Shares His Thoughts On How Arthur Fleck Might React To The Batman

It doesn't sound like there are plans for Batman to face-off with Joker, but what would happen if this version of the Clown Prince of Crime were to meet the Caped Crusader? Joaquin Phoenix weights in...

Joker is very much a standalone movie, and while Bruce Wayne and his family will have some sort of role to play, it's only expected to be a relatively minor one.

Never getting to see Joaquin Phoenix's Clown Prince of Crime go head to head with Batman would obviously be a terrible shame, but how does star Joaquin Phoenix think that meeting might play out? Well, he admits in the interview below that he "hadn't thought about that. I feel under pressure, I want to give you a great answer -- something that's fun."

After giving it some consideration, the actor focused on how he thinks Arthur Fleck would feel if he were to cross paths with the Caped Crusader. "I imagine that he would feel a surge of excitement."

You have to assume he would be meeting 1980s Batman

If 1980s Batman met this Joker:

@GeneralZod - when I read the article title I truly felt like he wanted to respond with”this isn’t that joker.” Like he felt like he’d love the Batman talk to go away. And after reading that he “hadn’t even thought of this guy meeting Batman.,” it confirms it for me. This is about a guy named Arthur going crazy. Go away with that comic book shit lol

Maybe instead of Pattinson’s Batman there be a Joker 2 that introduces Batman in the 1980s.

Also, Joaquin seems kinda out of it in every interview he does. I don’t thinks it’s drugs or anything but he might actually have some kind of mental issue going on from the way he speaks and reacts which kind of worries me because he does seem like a nice guy.

He'd probably wave his cane and tell him to keep off his lawn.

If they make a sequel to Joker, the story has to be seen from Harleen Quinzel point of view. In addition, Arkham has to be the main stage of the movie.

The sequel has to be similar to "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"

I would love if he inspired like a “Jokerz Gang” sort of group in Gotham that kinda worships him and when Batman shows up, a kinda unhinged Batman probably, like Year One Batman, and starts taking them down, they break Joker out in a potential Joker 2.
