Joseph Gordon-Levitt Confirmed For The Dark Knight Rises; Juno Temple In Talks For Supporting Role

It looks like that actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is finally confirmed for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, and even though the role is still a secret, there is definitely more talk that it will be Deadshot. More after the jump!

Even though the role is still not revealed, this new report finally confirms that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be The Dark Knight Rises.

From Showblitz:

"Joseph Gordon-Levitt's name has been in the "Dark Knight Rises" mix for weeks, and now Variety's Jeff Sneider exclusively reports that the actor is locked in to re-team with "Inception" director Christopher Nolan for the third Batman pic. What role he'll play is still anyone's guess -- Nolan's camp is extraordinarily airtight -- but speculation has ranged from The Riddler (don't bet a plug nickel on this) to League of Shadows villain Deadshot (more likely)."


With that, actress Juno Temple is in talks for another role:

"Additionally, indie sensation Juno Temple is being eyed for a supporting role as a street-smart Gotham girl, though no formal offer is on the table yet.


So, who could JGL play? There has been a lot of talking about Deadshot and Black Mask. I guess we will find out soon enough. And what about this supporting role for Juno Temple? Any ideas?

The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theatres on July 20, 2012!

League of Shadows villain Deadshot? I guess that Talia will come for revenge and bring a lot of villains from the League, awesome way to bring lot of villains.
But he´s not good for Deadshot I guess.

Deadshot is a wack villain. I don't understand why everyone is so sold on a man that has good accuracy with firearms.

ANYWAYS, I'm pretty sure someone on the Batman project stated that Deadshot was already used in Gotham Knights, thus Nolan won't be using him, again. As for Riddler, Nolan dismissed that, also.

Temple will most be Holly Robinson. As for JGL, I'm not too sold on the Deadshot role. I think he'll end up being Black Mask. Just makes more sense after TDK.

@MrMurdockk: The Dark Knight had a whole lot of supporting cast members too. The key was not every member of the cast had 30+ minutes of screen time.

She could just end up being someone made up for the movie not every character is going to be someone from the comic books. If she is from the comics then I would imagine Holly Robinson. Harley Quinn makes no sense and I do not see a female Robin.

I think he should play Roman Sionis aka Black Mask or Alberto Falcone.

No [frick]ing idea who Juno Temple could play? Maybe Dr. Harleen Quinzel is making appearance?

Too bad Hugo Strange isnt in this? I would have liked to see Ralph Fiennes as him!

Temple is probably Selina Kyle's sister JGL will probably end up being mobster type like Alberto Falcone/Roman Sionis amalgamation who turns out to be member of league of shadows maybe Deadshot maybe not hes a good addition to cast either way, let the Inception meets TDk continue aka The Dark Knight Rises i guess...

I always thought he's the only person who can take up the role of the Joker! He looks like a young Heath Ledger. No point in picking an actor with such similar features for a different role.
