While I was looking at the release dates for the upcoming films on a major theatre chains website here at my place, I came across this full, new plot synopsis for the Christopher Nolan-directed film The Dark Knight Rises. Now, I'm aware we have seen a couple of those already, but all that was mostly about the cast, director, producers, who is playing who in the film, etc... I read it a couple of times just to make sure it wasn't posted before, and I honestly don't remember seeing it anywhere. The following is a translation:

The bravest, the darkest and most exciting of all the heroes returns to the big screen-Batman-in a fight what he himself has not yet experienced. The most anticipated film this summer is the latest continuation of the legend of the hero of modern times. It's been eight years since he took over responsibility for the Two-Face's crimes and the citizens of Gotham do not believe him. Still, Batman (Christian Bale) emerges from his lair and fights for his city because criminals are tougher this time more than ever... Bane (Tom Hardy) and Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) will play with his mind and try out all of his boundaries...

There you go. Again, if it was posted before, please let me know.

Starring Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and Morgan Freeman, The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theatres on July 20, 2012.

I can hear it now...."Most anticipated movie this summer?? BS!!! Avengers FTW!!!!"

For a lot of people it is.

As for me, I'm anticipating all of the movies and getting the most pumped for each a couple weeks before each movie hits the big screen.

BRING ON SUMMER 2012

Calling yourself the "Most Anticipated Film" and "Most Exciting of all heroes" in your plot synopsis feels really desperate.

Darkest of all heroes? Psh. Ok.

1) No he's not.
2) "Darkness" isn't some amazing thing to be proud of. Anyone could write a story about a "dark character." for example, someone who was mind controlled, forced to kill their own family, and now goes around killing bad guys while living with the memory of what they've done. That would be seriously dark. Doesn't make it good though. Batman is a great, complex character. He has some darkness, but people need to stop using that like it's the main thing he has going for him.

Was this translated from another language?

"what he himself has not yet experienced"? I myself had not yet experienced phrasing this poor.

"continuation of the legend of the hero of modern times"? That sentence is a continuation of a disaster of a catastrophe of english.

@Headlooper I am assuming your number 1 is TASM, as your statement can be made to the Avengers aka Loki's revenge.

On the point of the article this seems fake, if not on official site always consider it fake.

nailbiter: I contacted the theatre just in case, but no reply. It could be just "another" summary.

brazilian@ it just doesn't make sense for the character of bruce wayne to be out of gotham for 8 YEARS. i'd MAYBE buy 8 months. the police are hunting batman, that doesn't mean he takes an 8 year hiatus, i mean talk about going over-board laying low. i say movie opens (after the plane scene) with batman catching some random rogue or bad guy, shit you could even have a montage where we get little snipits of nolanized version of different villains even if it doesn't show him doing they'll at least allude to it. Catwoman, being plugged into the criminal underworld warns Bruce to "batten down the hatches" because "there's a storm coming" in the form of bane and his earthquake machine. Bane, being in cohoots with the league of shadows knows bruce wayne is batman and goes to attack him in his cave where he leaves Batman a broken man/sends to that prison. now gordons line comes into play "we were in this together (for 8 years) then you were gone." Bane displays the power of his machine in the staduim, blows up the birdges and holds gotham hostage. John Blake, Catwoman, Mattew Modine, Lucius Fox and Gordon all do what they can to slow the bleeding while Bruce is locked up on the other side of the globe plotting his rescue mission while discoving Bane's backstory, the truth behing Miranda Tate and the final fate of Ras Al Ghul.

OK, so, I checked. The synopsis came directly from the local distributor, who of course got it from the studio. So yes, if nothing else this one will be used for the market here at my place.
